The power to settle financial complaints.

We’ve been working with local youth group SE1 United on a short film about doing the right thing and staying money savvy.

The short film is showing at Bluewater showcase and Belfast Moviehouse cinemas before every film shown in May.

Our latest research shows that almost two thirds of people under 25 didn’t know about the ombudsman service – or how to get a financial problem sorted out for free. Only 3% of the complaints we receive come from people in this age group.
We regularly ask young people how they’d prefer to hear about us. Based on their feedback, we’ve been working with specialist magazines, radio stations, university events and student advisers to raise-awareness of the ombudsman.
But we’d like to do more. If you’re under 25 and have any suggestions about how you think we should let people know about our service, get in touch.
