ombudsman consults on rule changes needed, for National Savings & Investments (NS&I) to join ombudsman voluntary jurisdiction

We have today issued a consultation paper [PDF opens in new window], seeking comments on the proposed rule changes required for National Savings & Investments (NS&I) to join our voluntary jurisdiction.

The decision as to whether NS&I will join the voluntary jurisdiction of the Financial Ombudsman Service - should the necessary changes be made to the rules as proposed - will then rest with the government and parliament. HM Treasury has today issued a news release about this.
